Dave

Dave is the 4th generation owner of The King’s Jewelers. He is the President and CEO, but he recently heard of the title “Director of Procurement” and it’s his new favorite (Yes, we gave the eye roll, too). All joking aside, after over 30 years in the family business, he has a thorough knowledge of the jewelry industry including many contacts to help you find virtually any diamond or gemstone. His desire for the unique and special at a fair price has brought him to places like Africa and Israel. It even landed him a spotlight role in the jewelry industry’s film “Sharing the Rough.” With his combination of experience and education as a Graduate Gemologist, it’s tough to find a jewelry question that will stump him. When not in the store, Dave enjoys travelling, backpacking, playing softball and spending as much time with his family as possible. His love for sports runs deep. If there’s a big game on, you may hear him roar, “Just Win, Baby!”

MARIELLE

Marielle is our Operations Manager and In-House Millennial. She started with us fresh out of college in 2014 after graduating with an English degree from Saint Mary’s College. Though it was not always her plan to stay in retail, we charmed her with our wit and sparkling personalities and now she is here to stay. She loves helping clients celebrate their joyful occasions and designing unique jewelry on our in-store design software. You can find her creating content for our newsletter and social media, keeping tabs on our inventory, and photographing jewelry in the bushes (it’s happened more than you might expect). She plans to take classes through the Gemological Institute of America to become a Graduate Gemologist. Marielle and her husband, Brad, volunteer with the middle schoolers at their church. She also loves shopping for new books (reading them too!), watching The Office, drinking coffee, and cuddling with her black lab.

Patty

Patty is one of our Graduate Gemologists. She is member of The National Association of Jewelry Appraisers and does our appraisals. She also manages the repair desk and is our pearl stringer. Following the advice of Dave's dad, Bill Jr., Patty attended classes at the Santa Monica campus of The Gemological Institute of America. She received her GG degree in 1981, after which she went to work with Bill Jr. and his dad, Bill Senior. Patty left the jewelry business for a time to explore other fields and to raise a family. Her son and daughter are in college --on opposite coasts. In 2012, Dave convinced Patty to come back to work for The King's Jewelers and work for another generation! Besides her family, color is Patty's passion: gardening, quilting and jewelry all provide her opportunities to play with color, shapes and textures. Her greatest thrill is knowing that every piece of jewelry she helps to design or service will be part of a family's history for generations.

Sheri

Sheri has been a dynamic part of the sales team since 2017. She came to us with 28 years of vast experience in management and sales in the jewelry industry. Can you believe she’s participated in over 110 jewelry event trunk shows? If you met her, you probably could imagine her doing more than one at a time! Sheri uses that energy and creativity to problem solve, design and create. She especially loves to take an old sentimental piece of family jewelry and reimagine it into something new and exciting. She keeps our goldsmiths very busy! In her spare time, Sheri enjoys spending time with her two grandchildren, her three dogs, and six cats. People, animals, nature and sunshine inspire Sheri to be the best person she can be. Sheri is motivated by the smiles on clients' faces and seeing their joy when helping them design a new piece of jewelry.

MARILYN

Marilyn is the newest member of the team at The King's Jewelers. She is part of the sales team and brings 30 years of experience in the jewelry industry, most recently 21 years at Union Street Goldsmiths in San Francisco. She has a Bachelor of Science degree as well as being a Graduate Gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America. In her spare time, she volunteers at the Livermore Library Literacy Program, attends Book Club, and travels with her husband. She jokes about her debate whether to match the shoes to the jewelry or the jewelry to the shoes. We asked how many pairs of shoes she has and she pleaded the fifth. (We respect that!) Her husband, parents, and family inspire her with their work ethic, their commitment to making the world a better place, and always putting others before themselves. Marilyn is motivated by integrity, respect, and by actions that will put a smile on people’s faces.

Laura

Laura is our self-declared “special projects” manager since she takes care of the many random things that come up when running a business. She’s been a part of The King’s Jeweler’s since she married Dave in the (gulp) early 90’s, mostly “behind-the-scenes” since for many of those years she was taking care of their three kiddos. Now that the kids are getting older, you will find her around more in the store working on décor, events and admiring the jewelry. Seeking joy is her specialty and she is especially proud that we help people find jewelry to celebrate their joyful moments. Her favorite quote: “Drink Coffee and do stupid things faster with more energy!” Laura’s calendar is always full with family, friends, church or work... but her life is full of joy!

Kathy

Kathy has been working with The King's Jeweler's since 2014 as part of our sales team. She’s also our merchandiser and the favorite position of all time, Comic Relief. Prior to joining our team, she spent the last 30 years in sales and management in the jewelry industry. Kathy enjoys spending time with friends and family and riding her horse, Utah. She entertains us with stories about her mischievous cats, William & Harry, who are the reason she can’t have a Christmas tree or put anything on the mantle. Kathy loves to help create and sell beautiful unique pieces of jewelry. Quality has always been a priority for her and she is always thrilled to deliver, with confidence, a design that exceeds the customer's expectations. Kathy enjoys when she can help couples who are just starting their lives together choose the perfect stone and design the engagement ring. What makes her really smile is when they come back to tell her about their proposals... so many unique stories!

Kathy Sue

Kathy Sue wants to live in Hawaii, but for now, she takes care of us and works as our office manager. She makes beautiful floral arrangements for our events, encourages positivity with her tagline “smile more,” and doesn’t tell anyone just how many bags of tortilla chips we, as a staff, consume on a weekly basis.
